1.     SCIENCE - A BOON

Introduction: Science is a great boon to mankind. The modern man cannot think of this world without the inventions of modern science. Science has touched every walk of life.

Use of Science: Science is useful to us in several ways. All the modern inventions chiefly depend on the firm foundation of science. On every field-architecture, communication net work, entertainment, medical technology and transport – science has its impact.

Agriculture: The primitive methods in agriculture have been gradually substituted by modern technology. The scientific methods help us to increase production and minimize wastage. Even illiterate farmers make use of tractors to till their land and chemical fertilizers to improve production.

Healthy Life: Nowadays hospitals make use of sophisticated equipment to  give treatment to patients. Advancement in medical science is a great  blessing to us. As a result, people enjoy a healthy life, live longer and suffer less pains. Complicated  surgery can be easily performed at present making use of Scanning, X-rays etc.

Transport: In the field of transportation, rapid changes have taken place. We travel faster. Jet planes and other electronic devices have narrowed down the distance and thereby the world has shrunk. We enjoy greater comfort and save a lot of our precious time.

Entertainment:The Radio, the television, the cassette player, the video games etc. have become part of our everyday life. The tedium of the housewife is lessened to a larger extent by means of the grinder, the refigirator, the gas stove etc.

Conclusion: In fine, no one can deny the advantages of modernscience. Every invention is the brain-child of man. Man should not become a slave to machines. He must control themand continue to enjoy the comforts of science.

Widely used: Computers are widely used in educational institutions, research institutions, offices, industries, and medical departments. Defence, stock & share market, transport, designing, system analysis, architecture, and online ticketing also make use of computers.

Networking: The Internet is an amazing tool. It allows one to get in touch with people all over the world. It offers a wealth of opportunities to businessmen, students, advertisers etc using e-mail, e-commerce and e-governance.

Conclusion: Those who have little knowledge of computers would be branded as computer illiterates. But computer personnel have a bright future.
